We built Todobo to help you capture what's on your mind and turn it into action. But not every thought needs to become a task. Sometimes you want to reflect, plan, or just write — and until now, that meant switching to a different app entirely.
That changes today. Diary Mode is here.
A Dedicated Page for Every Day
Diary Mode gives you a clean, focused journal page for each day. Open today's entry and you're immediately looking at a blank page dated to right now — no navigation required, no setup, no folders to manage.
Each day has its own dedicated page. Yesterday's entry is one swipe away to the right. Tomorrow's is waiting one swipe to the left. It feels exactly like flipping through a physical journal, except it's always in your pocket.
This swipeable navigation is intentional. We wanted Diary Mode to feel tangible — like you're actually turning pages — rather than scrolling through an infinite list. It creates a natural sense of time passing and makes revisiting old entries feel meaningful.
Themes That Set the Mood
Not everyone wants the same journal experience. Some people like a crisp, minimal look. Others want something warmer, moodier, or more personal. That's why Diary Mode ships with multiple built-in themes.
Each theme changes the overall feel of the page — colors, backgrounds, textures, and accents — so you can find one that actually feels like yours. Whether you're writing first thing in the morning with a coffee or winding down at night, there's a theme that fits the moment.
We'll be adding more themes over time based on what people love most.
Fonts That Match Your Voice
The way your words look on the page matters. Diary Mode lets you choose from a curated set of fonts — from clean and modern to handwritten and expressive.
If you're the type who likes their journal to feel like a notebook, pick a font that echoes that. If you prefer something sharp and editorial, there's an option for that too. It's a small thing, but the right font makes writing feel more natural.
How Diary Fits Alongside Your Tasks
Diary Mode doesn't replace your task list — it complements it. Think of it as two sides of the same day:
- Tasks capture what you need to do
- Diary captures what you need to think through
Use your task list to stay on top of what's happening. Use your diary to plan, reflect, process ideas, or just unload your thoughts. Both live in the same app, so there's no context-switching.
A lot of Todobo users already told us they were using voice notes to think out loud before recording tasks. Diary Mode gives that habit a proper home.
